Pete Richardson, co-founder

Pete is an experienced software architect with decades of experience designing, building and implementing innovative software using cloud infrastructure for clients in the public sector, healthcare, manufacturing and e-commerce. He has global expertise in security, identity management and authentication software. 

Over the past few years, Pete has become a national “go-to” resource for social services directory innovation, FHIR integration and event-driven architectures.


Bob Kreha, co-founder

Bob’s expertise centers on blending organizational strategy with the ever-expanding role of technology. Over the years Bob has consulted with health systems, payers, nonprofits and energy sectors to integrate technology to engage with clients, expand their presence and market share, and empower their teams with motivating leadership.

Bob’s accumulated knowledge of social determinants of health (SDOH) solutions, community information exchanges, and interoperability is actively contributing to a more effective and frictionless delivery of social services to communities across Michigan and beyond.


Vu Bui, senior architect

Vu is an expert in identity management and cloud-based solutions architecture and implementation. His work with a global e-commerce company to implement and manage an authentication and single-sign on platform that literally spans the globe demonstrates his skill in thinking big. 

Vu has been instrumental in designing and implementing an innovative cloud, Azure-based “data warehouse” for a statewide non-profit that aspires to leverage deep analytics to improve their services to and engagement with communities across the state.


Jonathan Draugelis, software developer and data structure expert

Jonathan is an expert software developer, focused primarily on AWS cloud services. He is a rare breed of software engineer who needs to know the “why” of what we’re doing, which makes his work perfectly aligned to the needs of our clients with little oversight.

Jonathan has become expert in emerging standards for social services data structures, integration and interoperability and has been the technical linchpin in the implementation of the Michigan 211 open referral API, which has received national recognition for its innovation and value to community members and partners.


John Grudzinskas, software engineer and solutions architect

John has decades of experience designing, developing and implementing complex software solutions for clients across a breadth of industries. That experience enables John to innately sense the best ways to approach a serious technical challenge and flawlessly implement the solution. 

John’s recent work engineering and implementing the innovative self-service childcare subsidy and enrollment service for southeast Michigan reminded us all that John’s value to Brightstreet and our clients is immeasurable.


Kristin Hanks, human-centered design expert and process innovator

Kristin has decades of expertise imagining, designing and implementing solutions for organizations that want to take a “customer first” approach. Her use of a vast array of design and process communication tools make the vision of the solution and the development of scope easy for all technical and business stakeholders to understand and come together around.

To quote Yogi Berra, “If you don’t know where you’re going, you might not get there…”  Kristin makes sure that never happens…


Mohana Kantipudi, software developer and cloud expert

To paraphrase Reggie Jackson ( a prolific and garrulous hall-of-fame baseball slugger), Mohana is the “straw that stirs the drink.” Mohana’s ability to turn vision into working software enables us to make many of the things we imagine with our clients real. His expertise in developing software in the most innovative AWS cloud tools delivers results to our clients in what amount to unimaginably quick turnarounds.

Mohana is a tremendous team player, always willing to go above and beyond, and seems genuinely delighted in his work and its value, which brings a smile to everyone he works with.


Joel Lakatos, certified scrum professional and business analyst

Joel is a rare breed. Engaging, just technical enough to be dangerous, easy to work with, passionate about doing things right, and willing to do the hard work to dig for root causes. He is an expert in using agile methodologies to bring together teams and stakeholders, flex as requirements shift, and ensure things get done.

Recently, Joel has been working as a key team member for a highly innovative telehealth startup, helping them to “cross the chasm” to sustainability and long-term customer relationships.


Jay Pelc, web and user experience expert designer

Jay is the master behind the innovative user interfaces that Brightstreet finds itself designing and developing for clients. He possesses knowledge of an array of web hosting platforms, expertise in HTML and creative design, and the ability to see “the big picture.” These skills allow Jay to help our clients use the web to engage with their customers, partners and community members in innovative, intuitive and low-friction ways. His expertise in accessibility ensures that our solutions are properly designed and meet standards for inclusivity.


Ron Sweeney, integration architect and healthcare technology expert

Ron is a national thought leader in designing and implementing enterprise software. His area of focus is healthcare interoperability using FHIR and other emerging standards for improving patient and community member experiences, sharing data more effectively, and improving the efficiency of delivering healthcare. Ron also has deep expertise in telehealth solutions. His passion for “doing things right” is infectious.
